Use Camping Tips # 3: Pack Lightly

Pack items that are light weight.  You'll thank yourself as you strap your pack to your back.  The concept of packing lightly should be on your mind when you are deciding what is going to be a "Useful Thing".   I found a great article that is quite clear on the basics of Packing Lightly.  Go to this link:

Look around, there are useful things everywhere.  Maybe its a tool that has one job or it has a hundred jobs.  Maybe there are some of the tools that have been around since the Caveman's brothers roamed the earth.  ie..Flint, knives, ropes..  

These are essintial items to be packed in camping suplies.

Welcome to Useful Camping Tips! My hope for the site is that it will help outdoor enthusiast of all levels to enjoy their time spent in the outdoors.  This blog was developed because of encouraging comments made to me by my amazing girlfriend on a two night camping trip to the Guadalupe River in Texas.  She urged me to channel my love of camping and useful tools into a medium that can help others.  Thank you for the reinforcement, babe.
